The journey is the destination. This describes not just a lesson learned through Janet’s and my travels but also my journey into photography. What started as a means to record places visited and sights seen became an appreciation of the skills and techniques of the photographer and a quest for light, composition and a story to capture. Entering images for challenges and competitions through VPC provides excellent feedback and inspiration to improve and to try new subjects and techniques.

When not travelling, I am fortunate to have homes in beautiful parts of both the UK (Suffolk) and Spain (Almeria) each with many and varied photographic opportunities.
