Jean Macpherson

Jean is an enthusiastic ‘late- starter’ to photography who finds the hobby fun absorbing and rewarding. She joined VPC soon after the club’s inception and has welcomed the opportunity to learn from more experienced photographers and to experiment with different techniques via the monthly challenges.
Retirement has given her the time to travel more widely and ‘exploring with a camera’ has enabled her to record memories which has become one of her greatest passions. Jean is interested in all styles, although her preferences are the ‘Street’ and ‘Travel’ genres. She feels that photography has made her more observant as she notices more detail in her surroundings and looks more closely at the landscapes and people she encounters .She is trying  to develop a better visual language to convey her impressions and enjoys sharing skills and images with others.
